California Strawberries + Toronto International Film Festival + a Giveaway

And the winner is...
#16
Colleen from Forty Something Bride!
Congratulations!

I happened to be in Toronto last Fall during the festival, and the vibe was exciting. If you can't make it to the festival, you can always bake something comforting with strawberrires.

Here are a few ideas.

And now you could win 2 Gala Screening tickets to TIFF.

Gala tickets are high profile film screenings at Roy Thomson Hall each evening at 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. and matinees on weekends during the Festival. Usually, the actors and talent are present to introduce the film. Opening Night is Sept. 9th and closing on Sept. 18th.

Sweepstakes start on August 26, 2010 at 10:00:00 p.m. Eastern Time ("ET") and end on September 3, 2010 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET. One winner will be chosen using Random.org.

Include your email in your comment so that I can reach you. If your name is selected, and your email isn't included, I'll draw another name.

What a bummer that Toronto's film festival is sponsored by food produced in California vs. Ontario. It appears that it continues to be a challenge to make sponsorship connections for local events with our own farmers and produce. This jumped out at me when I saw the promo material. Anyone else get that jarring feeling?

Thank you for visiting! I appreciate all your comments and love reading each and every one of them. I will answer your questions as best I can as soon as possible. I wish I could respond to everybody individually but my schedule just doesn't permit it right now. I will, however, do my best to visit your blog. Your comments are a big motivator to keep blogging so thanks for dropping by! {Please note that I don't allow Anonymous commenting due to spammers. As well, I won't publish a comment if it contains a link that doesn't go to a valid food blog, again due to spammers.}
